How to export a mailbox to a PST file from Exchange 2003?

This is known as a bricklevel backup. The tool we use for this is ExMerge which can be found here. Extract the file and copy it to %Program Files%\ExchSvr\bin folder of the exchange server. Ensure you have full mailbox permissions to the mailbox you would like to export. Run the exmerge.exe file. Choose the second option which is extract or import and click next. Choose step 1: extract data and click next. Verify the exchange server name and click next. Select the user or users you would like to export and click next. Finish up the wizard and you should have a PST file.
