Livemeeting 2007 Add-In, error when scheduling a meeting with Outlook.
This problem occured on a Office 2003 install with Livemeeting 2007 conferencing add-in pack for Outlook. When you schedule a livemeeting, and click send, you receive the error “An error occured while executing this command. If this error persists, please contact your livemeeting administrator.”
First thing first, ensure the login test passes in the user accounts section. We all think uninstalls should do what they are supposed to do, uninstall the product. Of course that’s not the case. When I uninstalled and reinstalled the product, I got the same error. Well here’s the true workaround.
Uninstall the Livemeeting Add-in conferencing pack AND the Livemeeting 2007 console. Do a detect and repair in outlook by going to the help menu. Delete the Livemeeting transport under mail accounts. Delete the registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USER>SOFTWARE>MICROSOFT>LIVEMEETING and HKEY_LOCALMACHINE>SOFTWARE>MICROSOFT>LIVEMEETING, if they exist. Note, we thought this uninstaller uninstalled the items.. ha, we were wrong. Reboot your machine and reinstall the 2 products again. Everything should be good to go.

Went through a migration between domains and one of our users started having this problem. Your instructions worked. I appreciate you blogging about this so I could find it when I googled!

Excellent! I’m glad it worked out for you. It’s little things like this that make you wonder, what really Microsoft is doing.

I had a question about the instructions above. When you mention “Uninstall the Livemeeting Add-in conferencing pack AND the Livemeeting console.” I was wondering about the Livemeeting console. Does this mean I would also uninstall Livemeeting 2007 along with the Add-in? The reason why I ask is that later in your instructions you only mention reinstalling the conferencing add in pack and not Livemeeting 2007. Just to claify that I am chasing the same problem. When I setup a meeting in Outlook 2003 and make it a Livemeeting using Livemeeting 2007, when I send the meeting out I a get a response back in my email stating that the message was undeliverable. Also, if I go out to the actual Livemeeting server the meeting is not there either. Please advise.
Thanks for all your help.

Jon,
I’ve updated the post. Yes, then you may reinstall both products.
Let me know if you run into any issues.
